Sociolinguistics

Sociolinguistics is study of various issues which related to society. In society there are various group of human being though different customs and culture. There are different nature of person  behave differently according to situation.There are two types of politeness and faces.In society, we study two types of faces: positive and negative faces.In public affair, face is the self image evaluation that every adult tries to project. Negative face was defined as the want of every competent adult member that his actions be unimpeded by others or the basic claim to terrify as personal preserves, rights to non distraction, i.e.the freedom of action and freedom from imposition.
Positive face refers to one's self esteem while negative face refers to one's freedom acts.
*positive: e.g. that's a nice haircut you got; where did you got it?
* Negative: I'm sorry; it's a lot to ask, but can you lend me a thousand dollars?
